Our Mission

Mathematics has always been the scaffolding because my true passion lies in becoming a well-read Renaissance man.

There’s no glory in becoming a spectacled human who only knows about esoteric and obscure knowledge of one subject.

Pretty much all the ancient mathematicians and scientists that the contemporary students of mathematics and the hard sciences look up to were polymaths and philomaths. They were philosophers at heart.

Here’s a shocker for you: the word “mathematics” originates from the Ancient Greek word máthēma, meaning “that which is learned,” “knowledge,” or “study”. It evolved from the verb manthanein (“to learn”) and eventually referred to “mathematical science” , covering arithmetic and geometry.

So a person who truly embodies the spirit of ‘mathematics’ is one that can go above and beyond the epsilons and the deltas; who can read between the lines of timeless philosophical texts, and who can truly wrestle with conflicting ideas independently without kowtowing to the grotesque echo chambers that are pervasive in this generation.

If you are quick witted enough, it should quickly dawn on you that our brand name ‘Math Games’ has taken on a deeper meaning.

Math Games is no longer just about colorful puzzles born out of a Canva whiteboard with royalty free elements and playful fonts, it’s instead a perpetually expanding and multi-dimensional canvas on which brushstrokes of knowledge can waltz elegantly together.

We play with ideas because our minds can roam freely. We don’t have to conform to the rigid structures of academia; all we have to do is to think and read and learn.

We read because it’s through books that we can have a personal conversation with great thinkers before our times.

We write because we are starting our branch of bifurcation of the sum total of human knowledge. By standing upon the shoulders of the giants, we can preserve the good and make it better.

And that’s our mission.

Thank you.
